This Friday, September 5 at 3:30 pm we’ll have our fun Free Movie Friday, showing ACE OF HEARTS, the heartwarming story of a K9 police officer’s daughter trying to save her father’s partner pooch from being condemned for a crime he never committed. Next Friday, September 12 at 3:30 pm will be DR. DOOLITTLE: TAIL TO THE CHIEF, in which the second generation of Drs. Doolittle goes to Washington DC to help dig up the reason why the President’s First Dog has declared war on the White House staff. It’s going to be a doggone great time, so come and join us!
Tuesdays at 10 am make sure to bring in your preschoolers for our wonderful storytime! Your little ones will get to listen to a wonderful story and then do a fun and creative craft which ties in to the story. It’s a great way to help your children learn to love reading, and there’s nothing that will help get your kid ready for school like that!
Thursday, September 11 at 4 pm will be our super-fun monthly Craft Day! Come flex your creative muscles with cute projects suitable for display on any shelf or refrigerator. It’s free, it’s for all ages, and it’s sure to bring a smile to your face, so sign up early to make sure that we have enough materials to go around.
Tuesday, September 16 at 4 pm we’ll be discussing SHADE’S CHILDREN by Garth Nix in the teen book club. Come by any time between now and then to pick up your free copy of the book, and come in on the 16th to talk about the book and get the next book, THE CURIOUS CASE OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME.
Have you missed seeing that big white panel truck roaming the highways and back roads of Screven and Jenkins Counties? The Bookmobile – and Miss Barbara the Bookmobile Lady – will be at the Sampler on September 20! If you’re one of her regulars, make sure to come out and see her, because she’s missed you all!
Are you tired of having to bring your books back to the library when you’re done with them? Well, we’ve just put a lot of fresh books onto the sale shelves here in the library, and we’re doing our best to put them into your hands! For only 10 cents for a paperback or 25 cents for a hardback, you won’t find a better deal anywhere – and if that’s not good enough, come up to the front desk and ask for a bag. Fill that bag up with books from the sale shelves, and you’ll only pay $1 for the bag!

Bring your youngsters in to enjoy the fun every Wednesday at 4 pm!
